In April, I had the great opportunity to film a commercial testimonial for QuickBooks Online and Intuit Intelligence in New York City. The shoot took place at Gary’s Loft NYC, and it was a really inspiring experience being able to represent Ron Jackson Music, LLC as a real small business owner, musician, educator, and entrepreneur.
As an independent jazz guitarist, composer, teacher, and owner of Ron Jackson Music, LLC, I wear a lot of hats — literally and professionally! Between live performances, private lessons, online guitar education, merchandise, albums, touring, and running my Shopify store, staying organized financially is a major part of keeping the business moving forward.
That is why being part of this QuickBooks campaign meant a lot to me. QuickBooks has helped me better understand my expenses, track my business activity, and make smarter decisions. In the feature, I shared:

The filming experience was very professional and positive. I worked with a great team, including Mindy, Josh, and Jake, and they made the whole process feel comfortable and natural. I also got to bring my own personality into the shoot — my guitar, my music, my merch, and the real story behind how I run Ron Jackson Music every day.
For me, this was more than just a commercial. It was a chance to show how musicians and creative entrepreneurs are also serious small business owners. We have to manage income, expenses, marketing, inventory, travel, lessons, performances, and long-term growth — all while continuing to create art.
