Ron Jackson, George Cole & Alex Skolnick Announce Guitar Trio Tour in January 2025
New York, NY: Kremona USA and Roni Music are thrilled to present the "SF ⇌ NY Guitar Trio Tour" which features Alex Skolnick, Ron Jackson, and George Cole. This collaboration between three masterful guitarists will grace select West Coast venues and culminate with a special appearance at NAMM this January.
A Fusion of Genres and Talent
Hailing from New York City, Ron Jackson is a celebrated 7-string jazz guitarist and educator, while Alex Skolnick is renowned as the thrash metal frontman of TESTAMENT. Their musical partnership began at a photoshoot for The 55 Bar in 2021, where a chance meeting sparked a friendship and eventually a duo. Together, they have wowed audiences at NYC hotspots like City Vineyard and The Django.
Meanwhile, George Cole, a Bay Area Gypsy Jazz virtuoso, met Jackson in 2022 during a Jackson's tour stop in Berkeley, California. Their mutual admiration and shared musical vision quickly evolved into talks of a playing together. When Jackson invited Skolnick to join, the synergy was undeniable—thus, the Skolnick, Jackson & Cole Guitar Trio was born. Jackson's endorser, Kremona was brought on to provide tour support and instruments and they happily obliged.
Tour Highlights
The "SF ⇌ NY Guitar Trio Tour" kicks off in Oakland at Yoshi’s on January 9, 2025, followed by a performance at Eugene’s iconic WOW Hall on January 10, 2025. Mid-January, the trio will retreat to the studio for their first collaborative recording, marking a milestone in their journey together.
The tour concludes with an eagerly anticipated appearance at NAMM, the world's largest music products trade show. The trio will take the NAMM Marriott Stage on January 24, 2025, and participate in meet-and-greet sessions hosted by their tour sponsor, Kremona USA, at the Anaheim Convention Center.
